Edward L. Pittman

June 20, 1951 — June 11, 2024

Gillette

Edward “Eddie” Lynn Pittman, 72, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 after a battle with COPD and cancer.

Edward was born in Haskell, Texas on June 20th, 1951 to Dorothy Allene (Miller) and Dudley Edward Pittman. He grew up with 3 younger brothers, and 2 younger sisters.

Eddie met Stephanie Ringland in Miles City, Montana and they were married in 1975. To this union, 2 children were born - Edward and Lynn. They made their home in Gillette, Wyoming and were later divorced. He spent his career working in the oil field as a laborer.

In his younger years, he enjoyed listening to country music, singing and playing his guitar. An unfortunate car accident in 2001 left him disabled. He enjoyed watching news and movies as well as visiting with his family.

Eddie had a witty sense of humor with a funny laugh. He had a strong faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We rejoice that he is in the loving arms of Jesus. Celebrating his arrival in Heaven are his mother, father, and sister Kaylene (Terry) McCrann.

Eddie is survived by his former wife, Stephanie (Ringland) Pittman; children, Edward Pittman of Helena, MT and Lynn Pittman of Billings, MT; stepfather, Roland Scott; siblings, Randy (Rose) Pitman, Wayne (Lorna) Pitman, Kenneth (Beth) Scott and Shannon Cubbon; as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Eddie will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by those who love him.
