Funeral service for Gary Cheadle will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 18, 2023 at the Christian Church 100 E. Flying Circle Drive, Gillette, with Pastor George Keralis officiating; interment to follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Heavens gates opened December 8, 2023 and took Gary Gene Cheadle home to be reunited with his wife Peggy. Gary was born in Cherokee, Oklahoma to Paul and Edith Cheadle on October 18, 1937. Captivating Peggy’s heart they were wed on July 3, 1959. Gary lovingly raised three handsome sons: Gary Lawrence Cheadle, Paul Douglas Cheadle, and Michael Gene Cheadle. Family meant everything to Gary, and would always came first. Gary was an avid outdoorsman and had a passion for fishing. He loved everything nature and would enjoy peaceful afternoons outside watching his birds and wildlife. His fiery spirit wasn't afraid to love with all his might or tell you how it needed to be. He was a kind soul who would assist anyone in need. Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Edith Cheadle; his son, Gary L. Cheadle; and spouse, Peggy Pearl Cheadle. He is survived by his two sons, Paul Douglas Cheadle; and Michael (Michelle) Cheadle; three grandchildren, Serina (J.R.) Cheadle Weber, Abigail Pearl Cheadle, and Allison Kathleen Cheadle; two great-grandchildren, Sophie Jo Weber and Brooke Adylee Weber. The family asks that memorials be made in Gary’s name to support Bob Woofruff Family Foundation.
