Harold Palmer Calvert

Memorial service for Harold Calvert will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, May 25, 2018 at The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Chapel, 1000 S. Douglas Hwy, Gillette, WY 82716. Gillette resident Harold Calvert, 90, passed away peacefully Monday, May 21, 2018 at The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center in Gillette, WY. He was born April 19, 1928 in Williston, ND to Walter and Inga Calvert. He was raised and educated in Williston, ND. He worked many jobs before deciding to become a carpenter installing flooring, carpet, linoleum, and tiling. Harold met his wife, Marilyn Hoffa, of 66 years when she attended nursing school in Williston. They married June 10, 1952 in Fargo, ND at the First Presbyterian Church. The family continued living in Williston until 1964 when they moved to Watford City, ND; where Harold opened a floor covering business. They raised six children.  In 1986, Harold, Marilyn and son, Mark moved to Gillette, WY; where Harold worked for several contractors and 2 Guys Deco. Harold enjoyed hunting foul and small game and fishing. Of his hobbies he was most passionate about hunting agates along the Yellowstone River. Harold is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sons, William, Richard, and Mark; daughters, Nancy Pedersen, Sara Podell, and Judy Klein; brother, John Calvert; 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Inga Calvert; his sisters, Daphney and Mary.
