Jean Ethel Muggenburg passed away June 21, 2020 peacefully surrounded by her family, at her residence in Gillette, Wyoming. She was born in Lewistown, Montana to James and Ethel (Decker) Eubanks on June 20, 1931. She spent the majority of her life in Montana. Jean moved to Gillette two years ago to be closer to family and her quilting friends. Jean graduated from Harlowton High school in 1949. Upon his return from the military Jean married Kenneth Muggenburg on July 10, 1949 in Harlowton, Montana. They raised 4 daughters and 1 son. Jean worked various jobs; selling Tupperware for many years, working at Wheatland Memorial Hospital, Bain’s Department Store, and Wade's Drive-In all Harlowton. Jean held several different offices in both the Women's Auxiliary of the VFW and Royal Neighbors of America. She was also a board member for the Tri County Federal Credit Union in Harlowton until her death. Jean particularly enjoyed taking yearly trips to many different places with her daughters and friends. Jean looked forward to visiting her daughter in Arizona where she loved to ride Charles’ Harley Davidson motorcycle with the local motorcycle “gang”. Jean loved to sew but quilting was her passion. She loved buying and learning new things about quilting as well as teaching others how to quilt. She was a member of the Wyoming State Quilt Guild and enjoyed attending it every year. Jean is survived by a sister, Betty Furgason of Billings, Montana; her children; Connie (Charles) Atkins, of Arizona; Diana (Ron) Von Olnhausen; Lynn (Steve) Gauthier; Michelle Muggenburg and Kris (Lottie) Muggenburg all of Wyoming. Her grandchildren Shakira Ramos and Kialeah Webb, Joline Hicks and Jeremi Von Olnhausen, Cory Bundren and Callie Aars, Kerry Muggenburg and Tanna Uran. Great grandchildren Annalese Ramos, Jami, Jess and Joncey Hicks, Gabe, Joslyn and Madysen Von Olnhausen, Sierra and Sage Aars, Shelby and Eleanor Muggenburg. Also, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, parents, Ethel and GO Johnson and James Eubanks, her grandson Jami Von Olnhausen and granddaughter Juliet O’Donnell.
