Jerry Harms lost his battle with cancer on March 10,2024. Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Jerry managed his illness with strength and grace, and wanted to spend as much time with his loved ones as possible. In his final days, he was surrounded by his children, who he adored more than anything else in the world, his loving wife, grandchildren, and family.
Jerry Harm Harms was born Feb 18, 1961 to Harm and Annabelle Harms of Little Falls Minnesota. Jerry’s childhood was spent on the family farm in Independence, Wisconsin alongside his siblings Byron, Norwin, Bonnie, Janice, and Darla. Jerry was often referred to as the one child that looked and acted most like his father. He often referred back to the farm with a laugh and great stories of his time spent there with his family, and was described as a happy-go-lucky kid.
Jerry met and married first wife Pam in 1983 in Whiteville Wisconsin, before moving his family to Livingston Mt due to work opportunities and to be near his brother Norwin. They would welcome their first child Joshua Harms in 1983 and after moving to Lovell, WY. they welcomed their second child Lacey Harms. They made Lovell their home for many years.
Throughout his life Jerry Harms was extremely passionate towards his work as a mechanic. Through his love of cars, motorcycles and anything engine related, he was able to follow his passion to Gillette Wyoming where he met his true love, Debora Harms in 2003. The couple married in 2010. Through this marriage he was blessed with two bonus sons, David Bauer and Travis Roach, as well as two more grandchildren.
Jerry and Debora Harms shared a life full of adventure, travel, and love. They often spent days traveling on their motorcycles, most importantly to Sturgis, South Dakota. Jerry spoke often about the various trips he and Debora were able to take around the nation sharing this passion. In the later years of his life Jerry spent the majority of his time spoiling and caring for his grandchildren. His grandchildren described him as a willful man who they could rely on for anything, and everything without question. He always had advice whether it was wanted or not, an able set of hands to help when needed and a knack for showing up just in the nick of time.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Harm and Annabelle Harms, his brother Byron, his sister Bonnie and step son Travis Roach. He is survived by his siblings Darla(Brent) Enos, Janice Gunderson, Norwin(Lynn) Harms. His wife Debora, Son Joshua(Jessica) Harms, daughter Lacey(Ian Franklin) Harms, Step son David(Krystal) Bauer and his eight Grandchildren, Little Josh, Dylan, Lacion, Averi, Johnathon, Jeremy, Jacob and Korbin.
A Celebration of Life for friends and family will be held at a later date.
