Memorial services for John “Jackie” Bisbing III will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Erik Bergquist officiating. John “Jackie” Bisbing III, 43 of Gillette passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at his home in Gillette, WY. Jackie was born on Sept 23, 1974 in Ridley Park, PA to John L Jr. and Brenda (Haislip) Bisbing. He attended a Special Needs School in NE Philadelphia, PA from 1980 until they moved to Douglas, WY in 1988. He attended and graduated Douglas High School. In 1995, Jackie moved to Gillette and lived with Renew. He then moved in with Divine Nursing and spent his final years with Sol Domus. He told many stories of the friends and family he made with each place and cherished them all with many pictures. Jackie loved all of the nurses, caregivers and most of all his second parents Joanne and Klink Klein. He touched the hearts of every person he met. He was self- declared “the Boss” of his team. He loved listening to all music, mostly country. He learned all the words to his favorites and he could sing! One of the highlights of his life was being able to attend an Oak Ridge Boys concert and personally meet them. They even came back to this area and looked him up to see him again. Joe Bonsall dedicated a song “Elvira” to him on the David Letterman Show. Jackie was an avid Broncos fan! He got a visit from the Broncos players that came to Gillette. He also liked to attend the Special Olympic events hosted in Gillette. His favorites were bowling and darts. He loved winning medals! Jackie is survived by his father, John; brother, Carl Haislip of NC; Aunt Tad and Maria and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Special friends: Paul Dana and Billy, Heidi and Matt, Nancy and Camron, Marsha, Shelagh and adopted brother Jody. Jackie was preceded in death by his mother Brenda and his favorite pet PeneLynn. In Jackie’s memory donations would be welcome in the name of Special Olympics and Gillette Masters.
