She was raised in Breckenridge, MN and graduated high school from there in 1963. She then moved to Williston, ND and attended college at the University of North Dakota where she received her degree in Business. On August 2, 1969, she married her husband, Mike Urbatsch. In 1970, they moved to Gillette, WY where they have lived for 48 years. In November 1970, Bobby their son was born. Then in May of 1973 their daughter, Kerri was born. In March of 1974, she became a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Gillette. Judy loved singing the hymns during church service. She also loved playing softball in her younger days, enjoyed bowling, sewing and putting together puzzles. She really loved watching rodeos all the time and of course her favorite event was bull riding. One of her favorite memories was when she got to meet her favorite bull rider, Jess Lockwood and take a picture with him. She was always on the go watching her kids and grandkids sporting events or activities. She did not like to miss any of them. All of her kids’ friends called her “mom” or the grandkids’ friends called her “grandma”. She enjoyed every moment of it and treated all of them as her own. Judy is survived by Mike Urbatsch, her husband of 49 years. When the nurses would ask him how they did it his reply was, “I just did what she told me to do.” Their two children, Bobby (Lori) Urbatsch and Kerri (Jason) Black. Judy had four wonderful grandchildren she would not trade for the world, Kyle and Lucas Urbatsch; Haley Urbatsch and Jarrett Black.
