Lee Roy Sigman

August 16, 1953 — January 12, 2018

A Celebration of Life for Lee Sigman will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Walker Funeral Home in Gillette, WY. Lee Roy Sigman of Cody passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Spirit Mountain Hospice House in Cody, Wyoming after a short battle with cancer and went immediately into the Loving Arms of His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Lee was born August 16, 1953 in Deadwood, South Dakota to Darrell and Dorothy (Rader) Sigman, the third of four children.  Lee lived with his parents in several towns in Wyoming including Gillette, where Lee graduated from Campbell County High School in 1971.   Lee married Linda S. Giest on December 6, 1974 in Gillette.  Two Children were born into their family:  son, Marshall Lee arrived on May 8, 1975 followed by daughter, Melody Ann on May 18, 1978.  Lee and his family loved traveling, camping, fishing, hunting, riding ATVs, and for a while Lee and Marshall rode Harley Davidson Motorcycles together. Lee was an avid Denver Broncos fan and love to watch them play. He excelled in wood working and enjoyed cooking breakfast for his family. Lee worked in the Oil Field for 45 years, and for many years as a Field Superintendent.  He and Linda lived in Gillette, Moorcroft, Lubbock, Texas, Sheridan, and Cody, Wyoming where he retired from Marathon Oil.  Lee was a very well respected manager and coworker.  Lee was a solid rock at work, and within his family.  He will be missed terribly, by young and old alike.   Lee is survived by his wife, Linda, of 43 years; his parents of Thermopolis; older Brother, Tom (Elaine) Sigman of Centennial, Colorado; his children, Marshall (Jamie) Sigman of Gillette and Melody (Loren) Nielsen of Rock Springs, grandchildren, Tiffany Sigman, Dillion Sigman, Laine Linneman, Peyton Linneman, Colten Nielsen, Caden Nielsen, and Alli Nielsen, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. Lee was preceded in death by his grandparents, older sister, Donna Mitchell; and younger brother, Ron Sigman.
