Lillie Pearl Stewart

July 17, 1937 — April 12, 2024

Gillette

Lillie Pearl Stewart, 86, was born July 17, 1937 in Alpine, Alabama to Robert Grady and Lily Jane Mellon. She weighed only 3 pounds and the doctor said if she lived it would be a miracle.

She was the youngest of 5 sisters and 2 brothers. She passed away April 12, 2024 after battling lung cancer. Her life was filled with lots of adventures from Alabama to Montana. She was married to Vann Stewart for almost 69 years until his passing October 27, 2022. Pearl is survived by her son Kenny (Lissa), daughter Janet(Ben) and son Jerry(Sherie). She has 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

She had a very generous heart. Even until her death, she was thinking of others. Her greatest desire is that her friends and family know Jesus Christ as their personal savior. She spent many hours reading her Bible and talking about heaven. She spoke often of Ruby Valley Baptist Church in Sheridan, Montana. Pastor Chris LaRue and his wife Susan were a big part of Pearls life. Hard work was very familiar to her. She was a very strong lady and did not complain of the pain. In the Bible 2 Timothy 4:7 says, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." Even though our hearts are sad, we know that she is in heaven. 2 Corinthians 5:8 says "Absent with the body, present with the Lord." We are thankful for the years we had with her and look forward to spending eternity with her.

Celebration of life will be at Ruby Valley Baptist Church at 10a.m. on Saturday, April 27,2024.
