Visitation and gathering for Linda Steeg will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wedndesday, July 19, 2023 at Walker Funeral Home. Linda Steeg, a woman whose laughter and green thumb brought joy to all who knew her, passed away on July 13, 2023. Her departure leaves us with cherished memories of her vibrant spirit and the remarkable garden she lovingly tended for two decades. Born on November 13, 1962 in Billings, Montana to Lorraine and Wendelin Buckmeier. Linda's gardening skills seemed to possess a magical touch as she transformed her yard into a flourishing oasis of beauty and tranquility. From her vibrant flowerbeds to her bountiful vegetable patches, her garden stood as a testament to her unwavering determination to make every blade of grass stand tall, even in the face of stubborn weeds. In addition to her remarkable gardening talents, Linda cherished her roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband, Barry Steeg, and her children, Laura Collins, Jacob (Jessa) Steeg, and Zane (Apryll) Steeg. Her legacy of love and laughter lives on through her three cherished grandchildren: Jaiden Martin, Elaine Steeg, and the precious Elise Steeg, who arrived in the world to Zane and Apryll, just 24 hours after Linda's passing. Linda's vibrant presence will be deeply missed by her surviving siblings: Mary (Dale) Heinen, John (Bev) Buckmeier, Kathy Buckmeier, David (Patty) Buckmeier, and Louise (Duane) Pearson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wendelin and Loraine Buckmeier, and her sister, Betty Talbot. In addition to her family, Linda held a special place in her heart for her five beloved puppies: Izzy, Bella, Ike, Chance and Tilly. They were her loyal companions, providing her with unconditional love and joyful moments throughout her life. As we bid farewell to Linda, we take solace in the countless memories we shared. Her infectious laughter, warm hugs, and ability to bring smiles to all around her will forever be cherished. Linda taught us to find beauty in the simplest of things and to embrace life's challenges with determination and grace. May Linda's laughter echo in our hearts, her gardening wisdom continue to grow, and her love guide us through life's seasons of change. Rest peacefully, dear Linda. Your vibrant spirit and green legacy will forever bloom in the hearts of those who loved you.
