Luis Eliseo Castañeda, 42
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Luis Eliseo Castañeda, who left us on March 12, 2025, at the age of 42.
Luis was born on January 11, 1983, in Los Angeles, CA, to Alicia Lucia Castañeda Martinez. He spent much of his childhood in Teuchitlán, Jalisco, Mexico, before moving to Atlanta, GA, at the age of 16. Later, Luis moved to Rapid City, SD, where he became the proud father of his first son, Jaiden Gramling. Luis eventually returned to Teuchitlán, where he met his wife, Fabiola Murguia. Together, they raised three children: Alvaro, Eliseo, and Ashley.
Luis was a hardworking and accomplished welder who dedicated much of his life to providing for his family. He worked for the mines in Gillette, WY, and also as an independent contractor, building a reputation as someone who could always be counted on. In recent years, Luis pursued his dream of owning and operating his own business. He successfully completed the CDL program in Gillette and was proud to have recently purchased his second truck to expand his business.
Luis was known for his larger-than-life personality. His infectious laughter, warm smile, and the joy he spread made him the light in the lives of many. He had an incredible ability to bring happiness to everyone he met, and his kindness will never be forgotten. He leaves behind a lasting impact on all who knew him, and his absence will be deeply felt.
Luis is survived by his beloved wife, Faby, his children: Jaiden, Alvaro, Eliseo, and Ashley; his mother, Alicia Lucia Castañeda Martinez; grandmother, Maria Dolores Martinez; his siblings and numerous extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.
