Lynne Avis Presley was called home on April 13, 2024. She was born on June 10, 1942, and raised in Hartford CT. She ventured west first living in Colorado where she started a career in communications. Finally, she moved in 1975 to Worland, Wyoming, making that her home where she continued to work for an Answering Service. Also, while in Worland, Lynne served as Post Madam President for Eagles Post #3096 from 1988-1990. In 1992 Lynne moved to Gillette, making it her hometown. She gained employment with S.T.A.R.R. Communication until her retirement, while working at S.T.A.R.R. Lynne was an avid member of the Relay for Life Team. Upon her retirement she became a volunteer for Crook County Family Violence and GARF. Among her hobbies Lynne loved to crochet, she loved to read, to go fishing, and she always had a puzzle nearby, she loved to cook especially baking cookies, and of course Lynne’s love for cats. Lynne lived up to Christian values, helping many whether with a hot meal or words of encouragement. She loved listening to old time Country Gospel music. Preceding her in death, her parents, a sister, and life partner Dean Hines. Survivors include her son James Eric Large and grandson Matt Collins both of Casper, Wyoming. Lynne left behind friends that became family, Carol Bui her lifelong friend became her sister at heart, also included Pat Martinez, Ashley Larson, John and Teresa Ludemann, April Stuckey, Pamela Shultz, and Dee Stotts. Lynne will be dearly missed. Per her wishes no services are scheduled but there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
