Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret Baumgartner will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. Matthew's Catholic Church with Father Bryce Lungren officiating. Rite of Committal will follow at 2:30 p.m., in Willow Grove Cemetery in Buffalo, Wyoming. Visitation and Rosary service will be at Gillette Memorial Chapel prior to the Mass beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Mrs. Baumgartner, age 95, passed away on June 22, 2023 at her home in Primrose Retirement Community.
Margaret Lucille was born in Sheridan, Wyoming to Joseph and Myrtle (Malen) Trollan. She attended St. Agnes Academy in Alliance, Nebraska where she graduated from high school. Upon the completion of her schooling, Margaret returned to Wyoming. She married Timothy Baumgartner January 15, 1949. Tim worked at several different ranches before returning to his family ranch in 1957. Together the couple made their home on the Powder River, it was here they raised their son Tom. Margaret made sure the family was cared for and the house tended to. In 1976 they sold the ranch and moved to Buffalo where they resided until 2013 when Tim passed away and Margret moved to Gillette.
Margaret was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and an active member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Gillette.
Margret is survived by her son, Tom Baumgartner and his wife Denise Urbin of Gillette; grandchildren: Cathy, Travis, T.C., Chris and Patrick; great-grandchildren: Jordon, Kalyn, Alyssa, Olivia and Mavis; sister, Laura Robertson of Sheridan and several nieces and nephews.
