Memorial service for Medora "Dori" Bartz will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2018 at The Lasting Legacy Chapel where her parents reside. Reception to follow after the service at Legacy. Private interment will be at Mount Pisgah Cemetery. Medora Jane Bartz (Dori) of Gillette passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital with her family by her side as she went to heaven. Dori was born January 3, 1963 to Nolan and Jane Bartz. They planned together so Dori could receive the best special education possible. Dori delighted in taking Basic Living Skills class at the University of Colorado when they lived in Fort Collins, CO. She would smile and say "I'm the only one in the family that attended a university." Dori moved with her parents and went to special education in many states with pilot programs. After high school she worked at McDonald's for 15 years. Everyone loved Dori greeting them. She lived at home with her Mom and Dad for many years and they say she was "their blessing." As her parents were aging, her sister Naomi found a new group home for Dori in Gillette (Sol Domus), built by Mark and Janet Potts. Dori lived at Sol Domus for 20 happy years and called this her "home". Dori is survived by her parents, Nolan and Jane Bartz; sister, Naomi (Tony) Didier; niece, Chelsie (Colby) Aaberg, Zion and Emersyn of Gillette; nephew, Chris (Cora) Didier, Paxton and Addison of Gillette; niece, Nikole Didier of Spearfish, SD. In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials and condolences be sent to Walker Funeral Home 410 Medical Arts Court, Gillette, WY 82716. Condolences may also be expressed at
