Nicholas John Taylor, age 39, passed away on February 3, 2025, in Gillette, Wyoming. He was born on March 7, 1985, in Rapid City, South Dakota, to Shawn and Brent Taylor. Nick grew up in Nebraska with his two younger siblings, before the family moved to Gillette in 2000.
Nick became a proud father when his first son, Corbin, was born in November 2006. In 2012, Nick met the love of his life, Brittany and together they united their families in July 2014 in Sheridan, Wyoming. Demonstrating his unwavering commitment and love, Nick officially adopted her son, Tavion, in 2016. In 2015, they welcomed their third son, Blake. Nick was a devoted father, husband, son, brother, and friend. He deeply valued moments spent with his family, whether it was camping, fishing, hunting, or riding motorcycles. Some of Nick’s fondest pastimes were being with his family, whether it was working on trucks, playing basketball at the park, watching his sons in their sports, and dancing with his wife in the kitchen.
Nick worked as the Manager of Gillette Manufacturing at Flogistix since 2005, where his dedication and hard work earned him the respect and admiration of his coworkers, who considered him family. His strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to others were apparent both at work and at home.
Nick is survived by his loving wife, Brittany Taylor; sons, Corbin, Tavion, and Blake Taylor; grandparents, Jerald Neville and Kyle Taylor; parents, Brent and Shawn Taylor; siblings, Anthony Taylor and Cassie Taylor; niece Lyric Taylor and many other beloved family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorothy Joy Neville and Fred Taylor.
A service to celebrate Nick’s life will be held on February 21, 2025, 11:00am at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. 5101 Tanner Dr, Gillette, WY 82718.
In lieu of flowers, a benefit account for the family has been established at the First National Bank of Gillette, where donations can be made directly under the name Brittany E Taylor or contributions can also be sent via Venmo at @btaylorfamily for the account as well.
