In a quiet corner of Wisconsin, within the town of Hurley, a bright soul came into this world on a spring day in 1938. Patricia "Pat" Woessner breathed her last surrounded by love in Gillette. Aptly described as the heart of her family, Pat's departure leaves an irreplaceable void felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Born to Leo and Elizabeth Johnson, Pat blossomed into a remarkable individual who touched countless lives through her kindness and generosity. With roots deeply entrenched in education, she pursued higher learning at the University of Chicago where she earned a Master's degree in political science, showcasing her commitment to growth and intellectual pursuits.
Pat's true essence shone through in her everyday actions. Those closest to her will forever cherish memories of her delicious pies that comforted many and brought smiles to all. Gardening, knitting, and cooking were not merely hobbies for Pat; they were reflections of her creativity and nurturing spirit that she generously shared with loved ones.
Pat also found purpose in service to her country through the Post 42 American Legion Auxiliary. Her dedication to supporting veterans echoed her compassionate nature and unwavering sense of duty.
In the gentle embrace of family present at her side, Pat peacefully bid farewell to this world on March 14th, 2024. She is survived by her children Cathy Fugere (Patrick), Leo Woessner (Chrissi), Bill Woessner (Sarah), brother Mike Johnson, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by those who welcomed her on the other side - parents Leo and Elizabeth Johnson, husband Paul Woessner, and brother Rodney Johnson.
As we mourn the loss of an extraordinary woman whose legacy will endure through the lives she touched, let us remember Pat for the warmth she exuded, the wisdom she imparted, and the love she selflessly shared with all who crossed her path.
May we find comfort in knowing that Patricia "Pat" Woessner's memory will live on in our hearts as a beacon of light guiding us through dark times.
