Rosanna Henrietta Townsend

Funeral service for Rosanna Townsend will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Gillette Memorial Chapel with Tom Hinkle, Heidi Bryant and Cole Larson officiating; interment to follow at Rozet Cemetery. Luncheon will be served at Rozet Elementary following interment. Rosanna Henrietta Townsend, 85 of Gillette, WY passed away April 5, 2018 surrounded by her family at Close to Home Hospice Center. Rosanna was born on September 2, 1932 in a sod house near Angora, NE to Samuel H. and Maude H. Loomis and was the oldest of seven children. She made her choice to serve the Lord at 14 years of age and remained true to that her entire life. She married LeRoy E. Townsend on October 7, 1952 in Bridgeport, NE. They lived in Scottsbluff, NE for 22 years and moved to Gillette, WY in 1974 where they owned and operated T &T Guns & Ammo. Rosanna is survived by her husband, children, Allen (Phyllis) of Rozet, WY; Marilyn (Vernon) Rozema of Hot Springs, SD; Keith (Chloe) of Spring Creek, NV; Sandra (Trent) Nelson of Alliance, NE; 15 grandchildren; Steven, Tamara, Heidi, Kalean, Kelly, Brad, Brandon, Marla, Cori, Kalan, Clayton, Eric, Shelena, Kyle, and Nathaniel; 30 great-grandchildren; brother, Arthur Loomis; sister, Edith (Keith) McGrew; sisters-in-law, Darlene Loomis and Diane Loomis; brother-in-law, Arthur Chavez. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Fred and Raymond Loomis; sisters, Della Chavez and Mary (Don) DeWitt. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Close to Home Hospice Center.
