Scott Jay Sandquist

Scott Jay Sandquist, age 71, of Moorcroft, Wyoming, passed away January 13, 2025 due to pancreatic cancer. He was gathered around by his family at the time of his passing. Memorial services will be held at a later date . Scott was born April 15, 1953 in Rockford, Illinois to Edward and Joann Sandquist. He was one of six children. He grew up in Rockford, Illinois. After graduation he moved to Southside, Tennessee. He married Darlene Jackson on November 17, 1973. They had two children: Lisa Sandquist and Scott Jay Sandquist II. He worked as an oil field pumper for many years until his retirement. He loved classic cars, VW beetles, Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Bulls, Elvis Presley and getting a good deal! But his biggest love was his family! Scott is preceded in death by his son Scott Jay Sandquist II, his father Edward Sandquist, his mother Joann White, brothers Stuart and Steven Sandquist, sisters Penny Abrahamson and Cathy Lace, father in law Thurman Jackson and sister in law Silvia Pope . He is survived by his wife of 51 years Darlene Sandquist, his daughter Lisa Sandquist, his grandchildren Mikelah Williams and Jordan Williams, great grandchildren Elliot and Zaiden Sparks, sister Peggy Herrell, mother in law Ruth Jackson, sisters in law Belinda Yahnel and Rita Jackson and other close family members.
