Shirley “Cookie” Elizabeth (Donders) Squires in the early morning on November 19, 2021; mom went to heaven to join our dad. Cookie was born in Evart, MI on August 14, 1943 to Robert and Bette Donders. She lived most of her younger years there and went to school with the love of her life, Larry Squires, whom she married in 1961. Cookie and Larry had five children: Larry Jr., Shelley, Steve, Sam and Shirlee. Cookie worked at Evart products for many years. They moved the family to Colorado in 1980. After the kids moved away, Cookie and Larry moved around in their motorhome. Cookie and Larry lived in Gillette for about 10 years. She loved her kids, grandkids and great-grandbabies. Cookie collected old oil lamps and had lots of them. Cookie loved her dogs, and they were a comfort to her after Larry passed in 2020.
