Tammy Sue Hoaglund

Tammy Sue Hoaglund(Apland), 64, of Gillette, passed away April 12, 2024 surrounded by family and friends. 

Tammy was born in Worland to Alvin and Myrona Lee Apland (Allred) on April 26, 1959. She went to school in Thermopolis where she was active in swimming, volleyball, cheerleading, and FFA. Tammy graduated in 1977, then attended Casper College, where she was involved in livestock judging, and worked as a butcher while earning her degree. Tammy then moved to Oklahoma and finished her degree in Agricultural Science. Following school, she started working at Rissler McMurray. She worked as traffic control and a roller operator. She gained many lifelong friends, as well as met the love of her life, Timothy Hoaglund.  Tim and Tammy were married November 23, 1985, in Casper Wyoming. The following summer, their daughter, Jenna Rose, was born. Tim and Tammy continued to work road construction and the family stayed all around the state until 1991. At that time Tammy started at State Farm in Casper while Jenna started school.  That same year, Jacee Rae was born. In 1995 the family relocated to Gillette when Tim got a job at Cordero Coal Mine.  Throughout the years, Tammy worked at various locations including L&H, Schwann's, Universal Consulting, All Wire Weatherford, and Rain for Rent. At her time at Weatherford, she obtained her journeyman's license. Tammy met many different people she considered close friends. You could always find her playing jokes, with a diet Coke and a can of chew in her hand!!  Her biggest hobbies were camping, fishing, crafting, and spending money on flowers for her many garden ideas. She was also known for following around her grandkids and being their biggest fan. 

She is survived by her husband, Tim; daughters, Jenna and Jacee; grandchildren, Shayna RaeAnn, Shylo Elizabeth, Alton Stanley (AJ) and Blayne Julius Lee Johner; brother, Jere (Donna) Apland; Uncle, Lonnie Allred;  numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, in laws, and friends that were considered family.

Tammy is preceded in death by her grandparents, Golden and Clara Allred; parents, Alvin and Myrona Apland; uncles, Stanley and Willard Allred; in laws, Stanley and Agnes Hoaglund; and brother, Gary Apland. 

A celebration of Life will be held on June 15, 2024.
