Memorial service for Tammy Stimpson will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 11, 2023 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church 600 Longmont St, Gillette. Tammy Ann Stimpson, 50, a cherished member of the Gillette community, sadly passed away on November 12, 2023. She fought bravely against cancer, but ultimately succumbed to the illness. Born on November 15, 1972, in Quantico, VA, Tammy was the daughter of Peggy Jaeger and Doug Jaeger. Tammy was known for her kind and caring nature, always going above and beyond to lend a helping hand. As a dedicated receptionist in the insurance industry, she touched the lives of many with her warm and friendly disposition. Her commitment to her work and genuine concern for others will never be forgotten. Tammy married Robert Edwards in 1993, from this union they had daughter, Rebecca. They later divorced. She then married Stanley Stimpson. The couple later divorced. Tammy worked for STARR Communication for 10 years, CBH Co-op Truck Stop and was employed with John Craft Insurance when she was diagnosed with cancer. Tammy found joy and happiness spending time with her beloved grandson, Benton. They shared a special bond and shared many laughs over their shared love for soccer. Tammy was also known to enjoy shopping trips, especially to Deadwood, Rapid City, and even venturing as far as Las Vegas for the World Dart Tournament, where she showed off her competitive streak. Tammy's love for her daughter, Rebecca Edwards, was unconditional. Though their paths diverged, Tammy always remained a dedicated and loving mother. She provided unwavering support and love to her family, offering guidance and comfort during challenging times. Tammy is survived by her daughter, Rebecca, grandson, Benton; her loving mother, Peggy Jaeger, as well as her step-father, Doug Jaeger. She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Douglas, stepmother, Great Grandparents, Marion Benton and Wanda Hummel, Faye & Fred Douglas, Uncle David Zahn, and Aunt and Uncle Cheryle and Jeff Bryant. She will be deeply missed by her aunts, Karen Zahn, Carol and Randy Dayhoff, and Corky Williams, along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and her step-grandfather, Dale Jaeger. Tammy Ann Stimpson's impact on the lives of those around her will be remembered forever. Her compassionate spirit, infectious laughter, and genuine kindness will serve as a constant source of inspiration and upliftment for all who had the privilege of knowing her.
