Jerrica Mills

Jerrica Mills

Business Manager

Jerrica was born in Eagle Butte, South Dakota. She grew up throughout South Dakota and Wyoming, and she moved to Gillette in 1992. Jerrica married her husband, Ronny, in 1995 and they have three handsome sons, Garrett, Gavin, and Guthrie. Jerrica joined the staff at Gillette Memorial Chapel in January of 2014 and is very dedicated to her work as a caring member of the funeral home team. Jerrica enjoys working with our communities, and she strives for perfection when working with a family. She does her best to make certain everything is just as the family wants when creating each celebration of life.

Tara Aanonson

Tara Aanonson

Managing Funeral Director/Funeral Service Practitioner

Tara was born and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota. She earned her associate degree in mortuary science from Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, CO, in August 2019 and has worked in Wyoming and North Dakota since then. Family is very important to Tara, and any of her spare time is spent with her five children—Thayden, Alyssa, Christopher, and twins, Liam and Cadence. 


Tara believes it is important to know that what she is doing makes a difference, and she strives to help families create meaningful goodbyes to their loved ones.

Rita Mashak, CFSP

Rita Mashak, CFSP

Funeral Director/Funeral Service Practitioner

Born and raised in Bangor, Wisconsin, Rita is a first-generation funeral director who is proud to serve in the community of Campbell County where she has lived for almost thirty years. Rita received her bachelor's degree from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and has been a funeral director since 1992. She is a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP), an achievement that signifies a commitment to raise the professional standards of funeral service practice and pursuing life-long learning. Rita has served Campbell County as a deputy coroner for ten years. Rita is certified in cornea and whole eye enucleation with the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank, is a past member of the Hospice of Campbell County, and serves on the Campbell County Cemetery Board. She has three sons and enjoys spending time with her family. Her passions are gardening, reading, riding a bike, traveling, and skiing.

Corrine Thompson

Corrine Thompson

Apprentice Funeral Service Practitioner

After experiencing the loss of her father at the age of 15, Corrine became passionate about eventually pursuing a career where she could help others through their own grief. In 2018, she began her schooling and is set to graduate with her degree in Mortuary Science in the fall of 2023. Corrine’s background is in customer service, and she brings years of experience from a variety of industries to her current role. As an Apprentice Funeral Director, she has the opportunity to combine her service skills with her passion for helping families through loss. While not at work, Corrine spends her time with her husband and their two daughters. She enjoys traveling, reading, and listening to live music.

Cadence Arevalo

Cadence Arevalo

Crematory Operator, Transfer Care Specialist

Cadence is originally from Richland, Washington. He attended college at the University of Idaho and is currently enrolled at Arapahoe Community College for mortuary science. Cadence is an NFDA-certified crematory operator. Growing up, he worked summers in Gillette building homes and helping out at the funeral home, assisting with funeral services. He feels honored to serve families now in this role, providing them with meaningful service and a special environment that will allow them to grieve healthily, gather with others, and remember their loved ones.


Outside of work, Cadence loves to sail, make music, and enjoy the outdoors to the fullest. He has a special gift and interest in language, and he is always working on improving his understanding and proficiency in many different languages.

Vicki Kissack

Vicki Kissack

Aftercare Coordinator, Advance Funeral Planner

Vicki has loved living in Campbell County for almost 50 years. She has worked in the fields of energy, healthcare, and education, and she enjoys being active within the community. She is a member of Family Life Church, served on a non-profit board for equine-assisted therapy, worked as a victim’s advocate, and volunteered with hospice for several years. Vicki is passionate about caring for others and supporting them during difficult times. She has also served as a Celebrant in the past and loved helping families honor their loved ones in their final goodbyes.


Outside of work, Vicki and her husband, Clark, have spent years raising draft crossbred horses and have sold them all over the United States to be used in many different disciplines. She enjoys long-distance riding and has been blessed to ride in some very beautiful places. Vicki and Clark have two sons: Garrett and Justin. Both are married, and Vicki feels so fortunate that all of her grandchildren live close by.

Karlye Vandivort

Office Assistant, Transfer Care Specialist

Karlye was born in Torrington, WY, on September 11, 1994. She moved to Gillette in 2001 to follow her dad and his welding dreams. She graduated from Westwood High School in 2012. Karlye has worn many hats in the last decade. She came to Gillette Memorial Chapel as an office assistant but knew she was ready to go back to school to become a funeral director one day. She started classes at Arapahoe Community College in the fall of 2023. Her purpose for being in this profession is her abundance of empathy, which she always thought was her worst trait; as it turns out, it just means she is able to share it with the many families she takes care of. Karlye is very passionate about the roles she serves, and you can usually find her, well, everywhere! If you can’t find her at Gillette Memorial Chapel or Walker Funeral Home, you might check her chicken coop. Karlye looks forward to the many relationships she will make in this role day to day. 

Donnie Colby

Donnie Colby

Crematory Operator, Transfer Care Specialist

Donnie was born in Gillette, raised in Laramie, and returned to Gillette later in life. Donnie graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in justice studies from Grand Canyon University, and he led most of his adult life in retail management. However, his passion for helping people transition through their most difficult trials in life brought him to his career as a transportation specialist and crematory operator in 2024. 


When not at work, Donnie owns and operates an antique/vintage business as well as a bath and body care business alongside his husband. Together they raise their two sons and also have a daughter. Donnie’s personal passions include reading, cooking, listening to great music, personal growth, mindfulness, and sustainability practices for a healthier lifestyle


Tamara Peters

Tamara Peters

Transfer Care Specialist, Funeral Assistant

After growing up in the Black Hills of South Dakota, Tamara graduated from USD with a bachelor’s in criminal justice studies. She found her “calling” in various law enforcement and corrections settings in South Dakota, Kansas, and, primarily, Gillette, WY, where she has lived since 1998.


After meeting her husband and best friend, Kelly, the two were married in 2000 and were blessed with two boys, the pride of their lives. Tamara eventually retired from her beloved career in 2011 and raised the boys, who are now grown. Tamara spends her free time watching hockey and football, and she enjoys music, photography, collecting vintage items, and spending time with family.


Tamara and her family enjoy fostering kittens, adopting senior and special needs dogs, and maintaining a welcoming home for the many friends of their boys who drop by for a meal, a few nights of sleep, or just a talk and some kitten-snuggling. Family is Tamara’s priority, and she believes working with other families during difficult circumstances is both important and humbling. She is excited about this next chapter of her professional life.

Darcy Idler

Darcy Idler

Transfer Care Specialist, Funeral Assistant

Darcy was raised on a farm and ranch in Kirk, Colorado. She has four grown children and three grandchildren. Darcy has over 25 years of experience in the medical field as an EMT, CAN, and end-of-life specialist. Darcy is also currently working for Dr. Shepard as a medical assistant.  


Darcy has lived in Campbell County over 10 years. Most weekends, you can find Darcy helping raise miniature cows and break horses with her children.
