Our Aftercare
Our Aftercare program is designed to provide meaningful, ongoing support to families as they navigate life after loss. Rather than limiting care to the time immediately following services, the program extends support throughout the year. It offers a variety of thoughtfully planned events that create space for remembrance, education, and connection—giving those who are grieving opportunities to share their journey, receive support, and feel less alone.
We offer a team-based approach to aftercare. Multiple staff members collaborate to support families, bringing a range of perspectives, skills, and compassion to each interaction. Families benefit from a supportive network of professionals who are committed to walking alongside them, ensuring that care extends well beyond the funeral service and remains a steady presence in the months and years that follow.

Service of Memory and Hope
The Service of Memory and Hope gives those grieving a chance to remember and celebrate loved ones. The event is open to all, and participants have the opportunity to honor their loved ones with an ornament on a tree of remembrance. Personalize an ornament or bring your own to hang on the tree. Held yearly in November.
Children’s Tour
We offer an age-appropriate children’s tour for families with children who have experienced loss or have questions around the funeral process.
Coffee & Conversation
This informal grief support gathering is held on the first Wednesday of each month at Walker Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
